It looks great and I'll try to order it soon. I watched the three parts available on youtube and think you've done some important work but that you missed out on an important political theorist that has answered what democracy is. It would be awesme if you included his stuff in your work because it's I think the answer your after. One I thought was interesting as well was http://eprints.qut.edu.au/31868. It would have been good to have included John Keane in the doco as well since he is pretty much the democracy guru.
